WOW, THAT WAS QUICK
This semester has passed by so fast, I remember when we all decided that blogs would be a good idea. The last thing on my mind was having to worry and stress about finals. Time passes by like a flash, because today we had to take our final for this class and it's pretty much having to remember and use everything you have learned in this passed semester.
Something Interesting
Something I found interesting is how pretty much all my teachers are making me take a final the week before. For example, I took my final tests for this class, Spanish, math, and chemistry. Plus in some classes I still have to take test on finals week. That is interesting to me.

Immigrants in our own land Reflection

The way that I understood this poem was that it talks about immigrants coming into this new land to have a better life for themselves and their families, but end up disappointed by how they're treated when arriving. Their administration makes the different races segregated because they say that the cultures should not be mixed. To think of it "like in the old neighborhoods we came from." The poem ended with saying that this world is not what everybody imagines it to be. Pretty much saying that it'll ruin immigrants' lives. The tone that I got from it was resentful, as if the author resented leaving his home to come to the country to just be disappointed. Disappointment was another tone that I picked up because he imagined this extraordinary country for a better life, but was faced with bad conditions. A literary device that Baca uses is metaphor, for instance when he says "My cell" when he really means his living space but uses the word "cell" to make us envision how bad it was. The mood is also disappointment because with all the things that he says and describes, led me to think that he was expecting a country full of opportunities for a better life, but when he actually got there, he saw how it truly was and saw that it was not at all what he expected.

AUTHOR IN PROGRESS

I feel that one thing I did good & feel confident with my writing was how I expressed myself. I was able to easily put thoughts from my head onto the paper. Something that I can improve on is being able to get good ideas under pressure with time, I would hav to practice more on timed writings. Over all thought I felt very good about my writings reading over them once I was finished :)

Team Vocab

When it comes to the elections of this year many people can anticipate these two candidates to surely accuse each other from doings of the past. Each canadate tries to remain stolid but Hilary definitely outbeats trump. It's aggravating because trump and Hilary are constantly sticking their proboscis into everyone's business and venomously attacking each other. With each debate America is left suspended to watch the next one just to see the two yell at each other. Both Candidates try to hypnotize the world into thinking their fit to be president trying to prove that they can transform this world into something greater, but they simply just illuminate each other's faults.

TODAY I'M A GOOD HUMAN

Being a good human being is really important to me because I hav mostly always been told that I'm a really nice person. To me being a good human being is helping out people even with just the smallest things. Something as little as opening a door for someone or giving up your seat for someone else that needs it more than you do makes a big difference. I remember one day at church it was really full that most people were standing but I was sitting, and I saw that a pregnant woman got there, so without hesitation I gave her my seat. I knew that she must have been tired so I didn't mind giving my seat away. Being a good human being, to me, only counts if you do good deeds with good intentions and expect nothing in return. I'm grateful that there are good humans in this world because if not, it would be a horrible place to live in, where nobody would ever smile at a stranger or do something nice for them just because.
